We at MYE Records (Vibe Chemistry's record label) are thrilled to announce two worlds colliding between UK rap and liquid drum and bass, with the latest release from Harry Shotta, Exile and Lupole, "Wishing & Waiting." An expressive, rap driven, melodic track.
Released on 10th April 2026 (MYE122), "Wishing & Waiting" is an electronic dance drum n bass single. UK rap vocalist, Harry Shotta leads the bass heavy, liquid dnb record with expressive lyricism, whilst both producers; Exile and Lupole, lead with melodic hooks and detailed sound design.
"Wishing & Waiting" carries a strong sense of character, the track brings two worlds together of UK rap and liquid drum and bass. Heavy on the emotive language, the male prospective on this record reflects longing, complicated relationships and desire.
Exile and Lupole's melodic instrumental gives off early 2000's vibes with the spiralling heavy bass as well as a modern drum allignment that delivers that fresh take on liquid dnb. Harry Shotta compliments this record so well, with a back and forth conversational approach to the female vocal in the instrumental. Recognised for his narrative depth and sharp lyricism, Harry Shotta delivers verses tapping into familiar and relatable experiences in the dating world, from the experience of anticipation, waiting for replies, counting down until you hear from someone you desire again... About the Artist
Harry Shotta is one of the UK's most respected drum and bass MC's, he is a UK rapper, fantastic writer and a leading male vocalist in the dance music space. Celebrated for his technical lyricism and adaptability across genres including: DNB, grime and hip hop. Active on the global festival circuit since 2009, he has built a reputation for high-energy performances and sharp songwriting that connects directly with audiences. AKA total legendary status. Harry Shotta's debut to MYE is a huge moment for MakeYourEra Records.
Returning to MakeYourEra is Birmingham based, Exile, a drum and bass producer & DJ whose work is rooted in intricate sound design and musicality. A long standing figure within the scene across multiple aliases and roles, his productions draws influence from artists such as Noisia, Dillinja and Camo & Krooked, combining technical precision with emotional weight.
Lupole is a Welsh producer and vocal engineer from Chepstow, he is also known for his success as a UK rapper under his alias Elro. His creative approach merges hip hip, UK bass and electronic production influences. Known for his detailed vocal processing and melodic instincts, he brings a distinctive perspective to collaborative studio work.
The collaboration naturally emerged through the MYE Network. Exile and Lupole connecting through Vibe Chemistry before developing a creative partnershop build around shared musicial instincts. When the pair completed the instrumental, Harry Shotta was the immediate choice for the vocal. His ability to bridge rap, grime and DNB brought the final ingredient the record needed.
